There are a range of places to eat in Las Vegas from French buffets in a traditional French country home, Craftsteak at the MGM Grand, Diablo's Mexican Cantina at the Monte Carlo or Top of the World at the top of the Stratosphere tower. There can often be waits at the more popular restaurants on the weekend so be sure to plan ahead and get there early.
If you want to get out of the city and explore the diversity of Nevada, take Route 93 until you reach the Hoover Damm, which provides power for public and private utilities in Nevada, Arizona and California. Another major tourist attraction just a short drive from Las Vegas is the Grand Canyon National Park. Over one million tourists visit this iconic destination each year. It features captivating natural colours and formations and is 446km long, 29km wide and 1.6km deep. This is one site not to be missed whilst on your travels and the best news is you can get a spectacular view without stepping out of the air conditioning when you park at the South Rim.
Los Angeles is a great destination to visit on your American road trip. Similar to Las Vegas, this city is filled with vibrant characters and bright lights. It is most famous for Hollywood Boulevard in the city centre and Disneyland in Anaheim. Whilst in California visitors should go to the coastal city of San Diego that has an upbeat nightlife.
