    Street parking in Birmingham's city centre is operated by Pay and Display meter systems and operate differently between zones. The prices of the Inner Zone range from £1.60 - £3 per hour between 8 am and 6 pm from Monday to Saturday and 8 am to 7:30 pm on Sundays. Free parking is available after 7:30 pm every day. The Outer Zone, Gun Quarter Zone and Jewellery Quarter Zone are in operation from Monday to Saturday between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm and usually cost around £2.90 for up to four hours. Free parking is available after 6 pm every day. The Pay and Display areas are monitored by parking rangers so be sure to purchase a ticket, display it correctly and return to your hire car within the specified time to avoid a fine.
