    The city of Florence has a limited traffic zone (ZTL). This restricts access only to cars with a permit. As such parking within this zone is difficult and not recommended. Some private car parks are located within the ZTL zone but charge premium fees. Outside of the ZTL parking for visitors is only permitted in blue marked spaces. Parking machines are often located nearby and parking needs to be paid per hour. Note that white lines/spaces indicate the parking spot are only for residents. Generally, the cost is €4 for the first hour and €2 per hour after.

    Tolls on the Autostrada, Italy's highway system, are required to be paid by cash or card. You must take a ticket upon entering, and the total cost will be calculated upon exit.
