Every once in a while, a casual day on the roads just doesn't go as planned. Whether a result of human error, the anger of mother nature, or simply bad luck, things sometimes just seem to go wrong.
This first blog of things to go wrong, is dedicated to an error that can almost always be blamed on human error, those splendid times when the fuel runs out. Most of us know that feeling when the fuel tank is running low. The needle having dropped well below the 'empty' symbol, and a usually unknown amount of reserve fuel keeps the car going.
While in most cases there's enough fuel to reach the next petrol station, every now and then, the dreaded occurs. Usually beginning with a few splutters from the exhaust and odd noises from the engine bay, followed by a deadly silence, this is the moment that this drive is, for the moment at least, over.
Now is the time to go on a mission for fuel in order to get back on the road. If the worst of your luck is over, you may be blessed with a petrol station just down the street. If things aren't going your way though, you might need to travel a great distance, wasting most of the day, before you've finally filled up, only to then realize it's time to go home. Either way, before setting of on your next trip, you'll be sure to check fuel levels twice!
