    South Coast Love: New South Wales Drive

    The New South Wales South Coast drive has everything from beaches to country farms, dotted and gorgeous wineries to enjoy along the way. Start your road trip from Sydney and venture south for approximately 1.5 hours until you arrive in Wollongong - make a left here and take in this beautiful small beach-side city. Wollongong is a great Australian town to drive to, where you can enjoy many bars, pubs and restaurants by the sea.

    Kiama Blowhole and Lighthouse

    Leaving Wollongong, keep driving south for approximately 40km until you reach Kiama - another beach-side town where there are plenty of things to do including a visit to the famous Kiama blowhole and the Kiama Lighthouse, both located close to one another you can see the spectacular views spanning the south coast of New South Wales and there are great photo opportunities.

    Continuing along the Princes Highway, stop off at the small country town of Berry and grab some of the famous jam filled or original donuts from the local donut van, or take a look in the 'Bon Bon' Sweets Shop just off the main street, your taste buds will not be disappointed. Take the time to sit down at the local's pub and treat your palate to some of the local beers and produce. Jasper Valley wines, just 5 minutes from the heart of Berry will provide you with some serious wine tasting. If you have time while you're here, you should try some Berry picking at one of the many farms. It is an exciting way to see how the locals do it and a lot of fun for the kids.

    The Huskisson Scene

    Drive further south and turn into Jervis Bay road, then left again at Tomerong street. This will take you towards the coastal town of Huskisson. Take a tour of Huskisson by boat, book your spot on a whale watching tour, try out the Jervis Bay Kayak Company, or have a swim at one of the many beautiful beaches which include Hyams Beach, Collingwood Beach, Chinamans Beach and many more. Along with amazing coastal views comes, the food is a treat as well. Try Wild Ginger, Stonegrill, Huskisson Pub or 5 Little Pigs for a great feed. During any major holiday you will always find that there are fireworks to celebrate events and more often than not the local fair will be held near the Huskisson Bowling Club.

    Driving Huskisson, New South Wales South Coast Drive

    Milton is approximately 50km drive from Huskisson and is another great stop. Check out the local antiques shop, restaurants, cafes and retail shops if you are interested in fashion and collectables. If you are lucky you will be able to spot a horse and carriage on the main street of Milton. Further south you will pass through Mollymook and Ulladulla, more great towns to check out.

    Produce and Scenery of the South Coast

    Following Princes Highway, next you will come to Batemans Bay, home to many beautiful white sandy beaches and the Regional Botanic Gardens. Eco-travellers and outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy a stroll along the lake walking track through Murramarang National Park. The track is about a 4km each way and is the perfect walk to spot a kangaroo between spotted gum trees.

    Home of Bega cheese, New South Wales South Coast Drive

    Keep driving for over two and a half hours passing through Bega home of the famous Bega cheese and you will arrive at Eden. Eden is well known for its sights and landmarks including Green Cape Lighthouse, Pulpit Rock, Ben Boyd Tower and Disaster Bay Lookout. At each of these sights you again get a great view of the New South Wales coast and you haven't even left the state yet!
