Built over 1300 years ago, the city has many well preserved attractions, and definitely worth a visit. Notable sites are the Aalborghus Castle, and also Lindholm Hoje a little further north which was a viking burial ground as far back as 1600 years ago. Make sure to visit Aalborgtarnet while here, which is a tower with spectacular views from the top.
