A great way to begin your visit to Leuven, is by visiting Grote Markt, the main market square in the city. Drive your rental car into the city centre, and explore the square with its many historical buildings and lively cafes. Most notable buildings here include the amazingly decorated gothic City Hall, built in the 1400s, and St Peters Church, which dates back to the 10th century but was rebuilt in the 1400s.

Established in 1366, the brewery has been producing fine drinks for many centuries, and in the 1700s it was here that Stella Artois was created, without a doubt the best known beer from this part of the world.
Once you have had enough of sight seeing, you can take your pick from outdoor spaces and reserves to relax and unwind. Highly recommended is the city's Botanical Garden, located just a short drive out of the centre with your rental car. At over 250 years old, the park features many rare plants, and beautiful gardens, the perfect place for walks, picnics, or just soaking up the fresh air!
