General Information

All Peugeot vehicles are left hand drive and equipped with standard tyres, air-conditioning, power steering, cruise control, car radio with mono CD player, electronic immobilizer, automatic locking in motion, central door and trunk locking, ABS brakes, MP3 Compatible. All wagon models have luggage covers.

Payment:
Auto Europe requires final payment for Peugeot Leasing 6 weeks prior to departure from Australia, unless specified otherwise. If for any reason final payment is not received by the due date, Auto Europe reserve the right to treat the reservation as a cancellation. A AUD250 deposit is required at the time of reservation to secure your booking if made outside of 6 weeks of collection. This deposit is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled within 6 weeks of collection.

Registration papers should be filled out and returned to Auto Europe 6 weeks prior to collection date of your vehicle. It may be possible to arrange a lease on short notice, please call us at 1300 656 601 for more information.

If you have already received a reference number you can confirm your lease with a major credit card.

To Qualify you must:

• Reside outside of the European Union.
• Stay in the European Union for no more than 185 days in any consecutive 12 month period.
• Not carry out any paid activity during your stay (no working Visa’s allowed).
• Must be an Australian resident.
• Minimum age 18 years.

How long can a Lease be?

• The minimum lease period is 21 days.
• Leases beginning and ending in France may be for no longer than 175 days.
• Leases beginning and ending outside of France may be for no longer than 165 days.
• Students, teachers, trainees and missionaries can book a buy back for longer than 175 days. Please call us at 1300 656 601 for details.

Insurance

Your vehicle is covered by a multi-risk, non-deductible policy which offers the following guarantees:

• Civil liability of the driver (including liability for non-paying passengers transported).
• Vehicle fire.
• Theft of the vehicle (if reported to the police).
• Broken windows.
• Damages incurred by accidents involving the vehicle, including acts of vandalism (if reported to the police).
• Legal protection.
• Coverage of the driver.

The following countries are covered by insurance and for assistance: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus~, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France (including Corsica), Germany, Gibraltar, Greece (including Crete and Greek Islands), Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy (including Sicily and Sardinia), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco (compulsory national insurance charge applies locally), Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal (including Azores and Madeira), Romania, San Marino, Serbia*, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (including Balearics and Canaries), Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom.

The following countries are covered by insurance only: Albania, Belarus, Israel, Iran, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine.

~The cover of insurance provided for Cyprus is limited to the geographical parts of Cyprus which are under control of the government of the Republic of Cyprus.

*The cover of insurance provided for Serbia is limited to the Republic of Montenegro and the geographical parts of Serbia which are under control of the government of the Republic of Serbia.

24-Hour Assistance

The 24-hour, 7-day Peugeot Sodexa Assistance will come to your aid should the following events occur:

• A breakdown that immobilizes the vehicle and which cannot be repaired the same day.
• Accident or attempted theft which immobilize the vehicle and of which the resulting damages cannot be repaired the same day (Warning: in the event of an attempted theft, a detailed report and police report are compulsory).
• Theft of the vehicle (Warning: detailed report and police report are compulsory).
