Be sure to spend some time in the castle gardens also, where you will find vast orchards, trees and flower beds, and also get a spectacular panoramic view of the Alps and the city of Munich.

A few streets back towards the city from the castle grounds, you will find another of the areas historical buildings, St Jacob Parish Church. To find the church, simply drive your hire car towards the 44m baroque tower which can be seen from afar. Built in the 17th century, the church grounds also include a sundial from the 18th century which not only shows time of day, but also day and month also, just one of the many hidden gems you will discover when touring the area in your rental car!
